To be eligible for the affordable housing programs, applicants must have an income below local income limits as determined by the market for that community. Refer to the Income Thresholds Document to determine if your income qualifies and meet the following requirements:
- be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- evacuees from Ukraine with Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel are eligible to apply

Once you are deemed eligible, applicants are given priority based on need. Priority of need is determined by:
- Income
- Assets
- Number of dependents
- Current housing condition
Social Insurance Number

- confirmation of SIN letter
- plastic SIN card (non-expired)
Proof of residency in Province
For example:
- lease agreement
- rent receipt
- household bill
- gas
- electricity
- cable television
- telephone
- driver's license
- vehicle registration or car insurance
- membership in social or professional organization

- bank information
- employment information
