The Child Care Services Subsidy Program is an income tested program designed to help families with the cost of child care fees at regulated child care services. The Child Care Subsidy Program enables eligible families to access regulated child care services by eliminating or minimizing cost within available resources.

To qualify for Child Care Subsidy the child must attend a regulated child care service in Newfoundland and Labrador and the family must:

  • Submit a fully completed Child Care Subsidy Funding Application
  • Meet service needs eligibility requirements
  • Meet financial assessment eligibility requirements
  • Meet residency requirements
  • Be a Canadian citizen (as defined in the Citizenship Act), permanent resident or have protected person status (as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act), an Asylum seeker/ Refugee Protection Claimant.

Notice of Assessment

A statement from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to each taxpayer, every year, after you have filed a tax return. It tells you the amount of income tax you owe, or the amount of the refund you will get.
