The Home Ownership Preservation program helps homeowners make major repairs or renovations to their homes to meet the minimum level of health and safety standards.

Once your application is approved, you must sign an agreement to stay in your home for at least 10 years after the repairs are completed.

Your home must require repairs to any one of the following major areas:

  • Structural
  • Framework
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical system
  • Heating system
  • Fire safety

The amount of funding you get depends on your:

  • Annual household income
  • Household size
  • Household location
