Covid-19 (May 24, 2022): All of our services are available in-person or by telephone (with an appointment)

Community non-profit organization offering financial literacy services to Ottawa's low/modest income individuals and families
  • budget counselling service: for people facing financial hardship and/or interested in improving their money management skills
  • year round tax service: for low-income individuals * can go back up to 10 years
  • forms assistance with finance-related applications (e.g LEAP, OESP, GIS)
  • financial education workshops: offered in the community upon request and can cover budgeting * planning financially for your education * finding a place to live * credit
  • interest-free micro loan program: for individuals who can demonstrate ability to repay the loan over a two-year period through attendance of budget counselling sessions
  • Personal Finance, I'm in charge program: in partnership with Desjardins, financial education program geared towards young adults

Tue-Fri 10 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4 pm

Eligibility

Residents of Ottawa living on low or middle income * Personal Finance Program: Youth between 16 and 25 years old who live in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario

Disabilities access

Accessible ; The office is located on the second floor, but individuals can call to book an appointment and ask for the elevator to be reserved.
