Standard subsidies for adopting younger children in extended society care

Your family may be eligible for consistent and predictable financial support through subsides for adopting children in extended society care, to help in meeting the needs of adopted young children from extended society care.

If you qualify, you will get $475 per month for each eligible child until the child turns 18.

You may qualify if:

  • You have a combined net family income of $97,856 or less
  • You adopt or take legal custody of a child in extended society care who is seven years old or younger and is not part of a sibling group (i.e., not eligible for targeted subsidies)

  • rent receipt
  • household bill
    • gas
    • electricity
    • cable television
    • telephone
  • driver's license
  • vehicle registration or car insurance
  • membership in social or professional organization
  • Other:
    • bank information
    • employment information
