Island Advantage – Needs-Based Bursary

Easy application

Tax filing not required

To find out if you qualify for the Island Advantage: Low and Middle Income Needs-based Bursary (Bursary). You must apply for a student loan.

Your income will be assessed as part of this process and you will be told if you are eligible for this award. The award(s) may be credited directly to your school account in the fall, early in the new calendar year, or both. In other words, the award may be split up into two payments.

If you are eligible, you may get up to $173 per week of study. For a normal 34-week program, this would be $5,885.

The size of the grant gradually goes down as your family income goes up. It also depends on your family size.
